STAR RANKINGS
As member of the Prediction Writers staff, you are expected to keep up with the game and well.. predict. One of the best ways to do this is through Star Rankings. Every week after Tribal (Or before, if it's obvious) we will rank on how people performed in this game under several categories.
DUD - Total failure
* - Bad
** - Poor
*** - Average
**** - Great
***** - Perfect
Categories are as follows:
Alliances
Influence
Personality
Confessions
Activity
Competitions
Credibility
And here's a description for each category:
Alliances
How well is this person set up as far as allies go? And more importantly, are they in a position where they'll be safe if the alliance turns on each other? High stars goes to people who others constantly see as their most trustworthy ally. Low stars go to people who are outcasts or blindly following a group that they'll be picked off from.
Influence
How influential is this person? Do they have a big say in what happens in the game or are they constantly flicked away? High stars goes to someone who always causes big waves and is responsible for game changing moves. Low stars goes to people who constantly vote on the wrong side of the vote and lackeys for other people.
Personality
How much of a character is this person? How well do they stand out against other people? High stars goes to someone who has an interesting character and can connect with us. Low stars goes to someone who is boring, predictable and cookie cutter.
Confessions
Confessionals are important! They help keep us informed and they make the endgame something to look forward to. A great confessional should always be commended. High stars goes to someone who is constantly posting, keeping us entertaining, and has a variety of different threads with different themes. Low stars goes to someone who only posts when asked something, to do competitions, and to vote.
Activity
Is this person active? Are they constantly on the board? Are they keeping up a social game and talking to people, or are they just hanging out? High stars goes to someone who's frequently on, always makes competitions, and keeps up their social game. Low stars goes to someone we're constantly waiting on, missing competitions, or missing votes.
Competitions
How strong is this person in competitions? Are they someone who's going to be a leader in tribal competitions or do they have to constantly be told how to do things? Are they even showing up or lagging the people behind? High stars goes to challenge leaders and people who, well... win. Low stars goes to people who are constantly confused, lag things, and, of course, lose!
Credibility
How realistic is this person in actually winning this whole game? I'm not talking second place, third place, late jury, early jury - the only thing that matters is #1. The more stars, the more you can see them being crowned the winner of Survivor New Guinea. The less stars, the more you can't see them having a snowballs chance in hell.
