Welcome to Survivor New Guinea - The Papua Conflict! This is my second Survivor game and 10th overall. I'm excited to start this and hopefully you are too, but if you are new to my series, I'd like to ask you to please read through these rules.
ACTIVITY
First and foremost, you must be C-O-M-M-I-T-T-E-D! It's a must in a game like this! You will need to be active to do well in this game. You must have time to do both competitions and have social game. If you don't have the time for it, don't sign up. Simple as that. You're not only hurting yourself by being inactive in this game, you're hurting your tribe mates!
In addition to that, you are expected to have at least one confessional per round. As a host, I prefer detailed confessionals. But if all you can find time for is a simple sentence describing your position in the game, it's better than saying absolutely nothing.
If you fail to vote at Tribal Council within the alotted time allowed (usually 24 hours!), you will earn a self vote. Receive 3 self votes in this game, and you're history. To avoid self votes, please make sure to leave a boot list. Especially if you know you're busy for the week!
If you're ever leaving town, going on vacation, losing computer access - TELL ME! There may not be much I can do if you're leaving for a long time, but I will do whatever I can to help you not get screwed over by your time limitations.
SCHEDULING
Scheduling in this game is much different from my Big Brother series. Usually "rounds" will last three days - one day dedicated to the challenge, one day dedicated to the Tribal Council, and another day dedicated to cooling down. This may vary throughout the game.
IMMUNITY
The battle for survival is always met with challenges. In the tribe portion of the game, the two tribes will duke it out in a free-for-all Immunity Challenge. The object is simple. The winners are safe from Tribal Council, the losers will have a date with me. In the individual portion of the game, all of you duke it out to determine one winner. That one person will go to the Tribal Council with the rest of you, but cannot be voted out.
TRIBAL LIFE
You are encouraged to mix and mingle with your tribe mates as often as you can! Both tribes will have a tribe camp you can use for general chit chat and for challenge strategy. They will be hidden until the end of the game, so take advantage of them!
Use the downtime between challenges and Tribal to strategize. Use it wisely.
TRIBAL COUNCIL
We all have to leave sometime. Except one of you, anyway. At Tribal Council, we'll have a quick meeting with the tribe where I will ask you all questions about how the tribe is going. Debating, squabbling, and arguing is not only allowed here, it's encouraged! This is a fight for survival after all. Once all votes are in, one will leave the game and the rest will head back to the camp.
RULES
URTV doesn't have a lot of rules, but we can't let this be completely run by the asylum. Here's some ground stuff you all need to follow:
- No cheating. Period. All challenges you can work together on will be stated. But in individual competitions, you are working alone unless stated otherwise. People sharing answers to better someone else's chances is strictly forbidden and both participants will be DQ'd from the challenge publicly.
- Arguments and fighting, I'm all for it. Just please don't make it more personal than it should be. Posting someone's picture or personal information to humiliate someone will be dealt with harshly. Don't do it. It's a game and there's no reason to cross that line.
- Don't accuse me of rigging unless you want a boot to the teeth. I've been hosting since 2007 and I never have and never will manipulate the way the game progresses to help someone. If you don't like the way the game is going for you, fine. We all get mad when we're on the short end of the stick. But don't pull me into it.
- When your torch is snuffed, you're gone. That's it. You have no involvement in this game anymore. I'd be thrilled if you stick around and continue discussing the game. But please do not involve yourself with any politics going on in the game. Additionally, you may only use smilies when interacting in public, outside of the Jury/Sequester huts. Any post that doesn't do this will be deleted.
Conclusion
And that's about it. If you have any further questions, please feel free to PM me. You can check out more on my series here:
